1. Old habit of buck-passing

In Pakistan, every new government blames previous governments for each and every problem facing the country. Of course, there is nothing wrong in criticizing wrong and infamous policies of the past governments for once. But excessive cursing of the governments is unjustified. The incumbent government seems obsessed with the habit of lamenting the bitter past instead of diverting their attention to a better future through scrupulous measures and policies. People have elected them to power to resolve all the daunting challenges plaguing the country, not to expatiate on what the previous governments did.
The PMLN government did not deliver on its promises, that is precisely the reason people rejected it and put their faith in the current government in 2018 elections. The government must prove that it is better than the previous governments through better governance and service delivery.  Unjustified criticism of previous rulers only shows the frustration of the government in the face of uncompromising challenges. Moreover, many people think that the excessive criticism is a tool to divert people's attention from the unpopular decisions that the current government has made in different spheres. It is my sincere advice to the government that it must avoid the regressive attitude of buck-passing and should focus on good governance if it really wants to alleviate miseries of people and deliver on its tall promises.
